Due to a major TRMNL design flaw, the only way to determine if a screen is lossless is by the palette name (a.k.a. id) via the TRMNL Palettes API. The problem is this should be a distinct key not something you decipher from the ID because this overloads the meaning of the ID.

In order to obtain this information, we use palette_name, instead of id, to capture the value, give it a readable name, and then use #lossless? to check if the palette name is 12 or 24 bits. As mentioned above, this definitely is not ideal but is what we’ve got until the API is improved further.

The flow of information is:

1. Palette (struct) answers screen_attributes which includes the palette_name.

2. The screen mold is built, by the mold builder, based from the Palette#screen_attributes which then allows the mold to answer if it’s lossless or not.

This’ll information will soon e used by the mold builder.

Necessary to allow folks to wipe their screen, if desired, answering a virtual screen which only knows to use the special screen_wiper.png image. When the firmware sees this, it’ll automatically go into screen wiping mode. Can take ~5 minutes depending on device.

With the wipe interrupt implemented, we can now teach the interrupter to call this object but only when the user has updated their device to use this command.

Improves color for devices that support color along with better resolution. Here are the details:

• Adds brightness to color images where "B" is the brighness value in HSV.

• Image compression is enhanced for PNGs while WEBP images, if lossless, are marked as lossless.

• RuboCop was updated to ignore the long block since keeping all of the MiniMagick logic together is beneficial. The missing else is also excluded since there’s nothing more to do.

The extra comma wasn’t helping.

This ended up being too aggressve since some folks don’t want their custom sleep screens to be removed. This relaxes deletion so only error and/or welcome screens are removed because these are less likely to be altered.

The iCalendar gem wraps date/time objects as Icalendar::Values::DateTime objects but some of the objects don’t have a rfc_3339 method (i.e. Time) so we use the newly added Terminus::Refines::Icalendar helper methods to handle this.
